Writing Center Location

The Writing Center is located in room 140 of the Humanities Building, which lies on the southwest corner of the Academic Podium on the University at Albany's Uptown Campus (click here for a map of the Uptown Campus).

Regular Dates and Hours of Operation

The Writing Center is open for business in the Fall and Spring semesters; we open each semester during the second week of classes and close for the semester on the last day of classes (i.e., we are not open during finals week and study days).

Please note that we are closed during the summer, when classes are suspended for other holidays/vacations as indicated by the University wide academic schedule, and when classes are cancelled due to inclement weather.

* Writing Center at the Library Hours are held during the fall and spring semesters when classes are in session (and are suspended when classes are cancelled due to inclement weather or suspended for regularly scheduled breaks).
