Making an Appointment

The Writing Center does its best to accommodate "walk-ins" who drop by to make use of our services without an appointment: if a tutor is available we can offer a session immediately. However, we recommend making appointments in advance so you are not disappointed. We get very busy, especially during midterms and finals.

To make an appointment, please call us at 518-442-4061 during our regular operating hours (click here for our Hours & Location).

When calling, please be prepared with the following information:

1. What day and time you would like to come in
2. Whether you would like a 30-minute or 60-minute tutorial
3. Whether or not you will need to use one of our student computers
4. Local contact information (either a local phone number or email address) where we can reach you in case we need to reschedule your appointment

Should you need to cancel your appointment, please notify us via phone at 518-442-4061 (you may leave a voicemail if calling outside our regular operating hours, but please do not notify us of your cancellation via email).

Please note: we cannot take appointments by email or voicemail; in order to insure that your appointment is scheduled you must contact us via phone.
