Subpoenas

Subpoenas received by the University are routinely forwarded to General Counsel’s Office.  Due the legal nature of subpoenas, General Counsel’s office acts as the central point in accepting, reviewing, approving, and complying with subpoenas served on the University.  This ensures that appropriate guidelines are followed in compliance with FERPA, HIPAA, state and federal laws with respect to requests for student and/or employee records.
