Transfer Experience Coordinator

Darlene Poirier is the Transfer Experience Coordinator at the University at Albany.

In addition to being the Transfer Experience Coordinator, Darlene is also a Program Coordinator for the Living-Learning Communities within Student Engagement. Darlene has been working at the University at Albany since 2008. She started in the Department of Residential Life as a Residence Director where she worked on Alumni, Dutch and Indian quads. She also worked within the Office of the Bursar.  Darlene has extensive work experience in the areas of student affairs; transfer student experience; living-learning communities; program planning; graduate and undergraduate student support services; staff and student recruitment; university diversity programs; and helping skills. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at SUNY Oswego and a Master of Arts degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
