UAlbany Transfer Connections
Transfer Mentoring
UA Transfer Connections is a mentoring program that is designed to pair transfer students with peer mentors on campus. New transfer students can sign up to work with a mentor during their first semester at UAlbany, in order to make their transition an easier one. In addition, current transfer students who are in academic need, or who just want an extra resource for the semester, can also sign up for the program.
Our mentors are all transfer students who have been trained to offer the best possible help and guidance to other transfer students on campus. They work with their mentees on a variety of issues, both academic and non-academic.
New transfer students wishing to work with a mentor in their first semester are encouraged to sign up at Transfer Planning Conference. If you did not sign up at TPC and would still like to work with a mentor, please fill out and mail in the mentee application.
Current transfer students who are on academic or terminal probation can sign up to work with a mentor in Spring 2013 by filling out and mailing the mentee application found here.
Transfer students who are interested in becoming mentors: Our next recruitment period will be in April 2013. Stay tuned for more information!
