The University at Albany maintains a strong commitment to the principles of diversity and equal opportunity. Indeed, our campus community includes students and faculty from all over the world, representing 100 nationalities and a wide array of cultures and religions. In and out of class, UAlbany students learn to collaborate with people of all backgrounds and cultures.
More than 20 cultural organizations support students from a variety of backgrounds, and at least a dozen religious groups invite students to explore their own faith or that of others.
We embrace our differences and see our diversity as a source of strength. By encountering new ideas and different ways of looking at the world, our students expand their own visions and prepare for an increasingly global working world.
