The Committee on General Education considers and approves new courses proposed for inclusion in the General Education program as well as revisions to existing courses designed to qualify them for the program; serves as an appellate body for students not granted waivers or substitutions by the Dean of Undergraduate Studies; considers revisions of the nature, structure, criteria, regulations, and/or administration of the General Education program; works with the General Education Assessment Subcommittee; normally, this committee is chaired by the Associate Dean or Director for General Education.
