Student Mail Services: Packages
Packages received during Intersession Break will be held until you return in January 2014.
The "package area" is where all mail not fitting in your assigned mail box on the quad and the packages that Mail Services must sign for will be held. Every item is logged into an internal tracking system which will generate an email notification (from firstname.lastname@example.org) informing you that you have a package. If you do not receive an email and are expecting a package please call 442-3272. Just call and ask if you have a package, a staff member can look up the informaton while you are on the phone.
The package window is located in the basement of the Business Administration Building, in the corner where it joins with the Social Sciences Building. The package pick-up window is in stairwell lobby area. A Photo ID is required; your SUNYCard or driver's license are acceptable forms of ID. Packages will not be released without some form of picture identification presented to the staff. A signature is required when picking up an item, verifying that it has been released.
If the name on the package does not match the name on the ID, the package will not be released to you.
Please pick up packages promptly. The package area has limited space and cannot store packages for an extended period of time. If the package is not picked up after numerous reminders, it will be returned to the sender.
The package window is open Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
If you are unable to pick up a package contact Mail Services at 442-3272 or 442-3274 to discuss alternative arrangements that can be made.
