Faculty/Staff Mail Services: Business Reply Mail

ATTENTION: Starting January 28, 2013 an Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB) is required on Business Reply mail.  Contact Lianne Fenn, lfenn@albany.edu, for new artwork before printing new stock.

Business Reply Mail (BRM) is domestic mail which uses first-class postage on pre-printed postcards and envelopes to receive replies from customers. Postage is paid by the receiver only for the pieces actually delivered back to the original sender. BRM is commonly used when numerous responses are anticipated, such as with Admissions information requests or survey questionnaire responses. No postage is paid on the pieces which aren't returned through the mail.

Mailpieces not designed by the USPS must be approved by a qualifed mailpiece design analyst prior to being printed. Mail Services' staff can provide this service.
