Web Accessibility: If you use color
- Don't rely on color alone to convey information. Ensure that all information conveyed with color also is available without color, for example, from context or markup.
- Use numbers, not names, for colors.
- Test whether your page still works without color by viewing it using a monochrome monitor or with browser colors turned off. Try setting up a color scheme in your browser that only uses black, white, and the four browser-safe greys and see how well the page functions. In addition, view you page using multiple browsers and platforms, then verify it with tools like CAST's on-line BOBBY verification tool.
