Re-Activate Locked Bank Account

In this scam, the phishers try to create a false sense of urgency by telling you that someone tried to compromise your account and your access has been shut down.

Subject: Bank Of America Alert: Security Notification

Here's where the above link really goes:

http://www[dot]speedtour[dot]co[dot]kr/fileUpload/goods/online.account.bankofamerica.verify/sign_in.htm

The top level domain (the last part of the URL before the first forward slash [/]) is KR. This means the link goes to a computer in Korea. Does Bank of America really outsource its on-line account management to an outfit called Speedtour located in Korea? Only if you want to buy a bridge in Brooklyn.

Thank you,

Bank Of America Alert.
