Systems Maintenance for ITS-provided Services
All ITS supported systems undergo routine scheduled maintenance. Maintenance is typically scheduled outside of regular business hours to minimize disruption to the University community.
 
MyUAlbany and IAS Get Details
The system is generally available 6 am to 2:30 am. Click "get details" for a schedule of dates/times when the system will be taken down for maintenance.
 
University Website Maintenance
The University website at www.albany.edu may be unavailable on Mondays from 7:00 am to 8:00 am for scheduled maintenance.
 
UNIX Cluster Monthly Maintenance
Webmail, Listserv, S-drive space, UA web pages and BLS are generally available around the clock. Service is suspended for routine maintenance for approximately 20 minutes on the first Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of the month between 7:00-8:00 a.m.
 
Voicemail for faculty/staff Get Details
Routine maintenance will be performed on the voicemail system every two months. During these times voicemail messages will not be collected and you will not be able to access your voicemail box.
 
Windows Server Patching for Faculty/Staff and RedDot
On the Thursday after the second Tuesday of each month, several ITS Windows services (i.e. Exchange mail/calendaring, RedDot and others) will be interrupted or unavailable at times between 4 pm and 8 pm while Microsoft patches are applied.
 
Blackboard Maintenance
Blackboard system maintenance is scheduled for the last Saturday of each month from 8 am to 1 pm. During this time, Blackboard and/or some of its features may be unavailable so please plan accordingly.
