Students are receiving email messages offering "free" laptops, hundreds of dollars in car payments, and discounted car insurance that falsely claim University endorsement. In the case of the laptop offer, the email is signed "Joan Thomas" from "SUNY at Albany Tech Lab Department."
These emails are fraudulent. The University is not affiliated in any way with these messages.
