Summary: On March 1 2006 Apple released Security Update 2006-01. This update addresses 20 different vulnerabilities that affect the OS X operating system and also includes two "security enhancements". At the time of this writing it is unclear if this update includes definitive fixes for the flaws highlighted in ALARM Alert 022406-01 "Flaw in OS X could lead to system compromise" originally issued on 2/24/06 but the wording of the update does seem to indicate some efforts to change the threat profile of this condition.
