DAVE Product Description

• DAVE runs on Macintosh ONLY

• DAVE is an application which enables Macintosh users to access Microsoft networks and associated file and print services. It provides Mac users with the ability to mount shared directories on Windows NT and Windows 2000 servers.

DAVE License Restrictions

DAVE is available for use by University departments, for installation on University owned machines ONLY.

DAVE License Cost

Cost: See Software License Request Form

This is charged back to the appropriate Departmental account, identified by the requestor, and approved by the Department chair.

Procedure for Requesting DAVE Software

Submit the 'Software License Request' form to the Information Technology Services Helpdesk (ihelp@albany.edu) . You must include the following information in your request:

• the number of licenses needed
• the budget number for the Department which will be charged for the purchase
• your name, email address, campus address, and campus phone (or that of the designated contact person in the department)
