Registered students now have the option to select a UAlbany e-mail address (an alias) based on first, middle and last name in their student record.

To set up an e-mail alias:

1.  Login to WebMail
2.  Select ‘Options’ 
3.  On the Options page, select 'Personal Mail Alias'
4.  Follow the instructions to select and set up an alias

You will be offered several options for an e-mail address based on your primary name as it displays in MyUAlbany.  You will continue to receive e-mail sent to your netid@albany.edu address even if you set up an alias in WebMail. If your primary name is incomplete or incorrect (i.e. missing middle initial or middle name), you may have fewer options to choose from and will need to visit the Student Services Center to request a change.
