The ITS Office of Telecommunications has responsibilities for planning, implementing, managing and supporting the campus telephone and data networks. They provide access to the Internet and Internet2 and maintain a networking environment conducive to protecting the integrity and security of electronic information and assets. Services are provided through a combination of staff resources and contractual arrangements with external vendors. 

The ITS Office of Telecommunications is staffed by a variety of technical, administrative and customer support employees including skilled telecommunications technicians, network designers and analysts, project managers, help desk administrators, telephone operators, and related financial and administrative personnel. Additionally, the office plays a significant role in providing telecommunication design and project management services for new construction and rehabilitation of University buildings and infrastructure.
