ITS/Systems Management and Operations (ITS/SMO) is seeking an experienced systems administrator to join the Windows Systems group. Duties include system administration of state of the art hardware and software used by academic and administrative end users. Responsibilities include the configuration and installation of Windows 2000/2003 servers and workstations, installation and upgrades of operating system and layered commercial software, monitoring of system security, and consultation with University wide technical support staff and end users. The Windows Systems group supports an enterprise Exchange 2003 mail and calendaring service, file and print services, enterprise wide Active Directory, enterprise IIS web server, campus wide metered printing using Uniprint, central management console for antivirus, maintenance and deployment of Ghost cloned images for public user rooms and classrooms, and servers running several departmental specific applications. Applicants must address in their applications the ability to work with culturally diverse populations. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a college or university accredited by a US Dept. of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
