Why can't I login to MyUAlbany?

If you completed the Password Set/Reset process to create your password and obtain your NetID, then read the following information. You may find the solution to your login problem is an adjustment to your browser settings.

  • MyUAlbany is a secure https:// website accessed using your NetID and password.
  • Logon to MyUAlbany is generally available 6am - 2:30am EST.  (Therefore, logon to MyUAlbany is not available from 2:30am-6am EST or when there is scheduled maintenance.)
  • Your web browser must have cookies enabled (or at least accept cookies from albany.edu domain) to successfully login to MyUAlbany.
  • The language preference in your browser must be set to English.
  • Check the computer's date, time and time zone settings to make sure that these are correct for your location. 

Make any necessary changes to the browser and also clear the cache or temporary internet files folder.  Then close and relaunch the browser before attempting to login to MyUAlbany.

If after adjusting the browser settings you are still unable to login, it is possible that you have an active firewall on your computer or the network you are using to access the Internet.

  • At a work location, your company's network security may block your access to MyUAlbany. Contact the network administrator at your company for assistance.
  • At home, a personal firewall or security program installed on the computer may block your access to MyUAlbany (i.e. AOL Security Center, Norton Internet Security, McAfee Security Center, Black Ice, Zone Alarm).  Consult the vendor for assistance.
