Blackboard

Blackboard, the University’s enterprise course management system, hosts over 1,000 class sections taught by more than 500 professors, and allows UAlbany faculty to augment course work with online content and learning activities and to offer fully online courses. 

Login to your Blackboard course to view and update course materials, post and view grades, submit and manage assignments online, collaborate through course email, discussion boards or chat, and much more.

UAlbany courses are available on Blackboard by faculty request only. Find your Blackboard course(s) through MyUAlbany (Academics tab) or login to Blackboard directly.

Request a Blackboard Course
To request a Blackboard course for your regularly scheduled academic course section, please use the Blackboard Course Request self-service page in MyUAlbany.

While Blackboard is available primarily for credit-based coursework, it can also be used to support other educational endeavors of the UAlbany community. Faculty and staff may request a Blackboard site to support non-standard instructional activities that are not associated with a course offered through the University's regular Schedule of Classes. 

Blackboard CE8
The Blackboard CE8 system will be retired on August 1, 2012. For faculty and students who require access to Blackboard CE8 prior to August 1, 2012 log in at  http://bls.its.albany.edu. The last date that Blackboard CE8 can be accessed is July 31, 2012. More information is available.
