
IT Accounts
CSS/UAD Contacts and ITS Liaisons
Access to many administrative IT accounts are requested on your behalf by your department's CSS/UAD Contact. Processing time on new accounts requests is 5 business days.
There are two types of ITS Contacts – the CSS (Client Support Services) and the UAD (University Applications Development) Contact. Individuals may be the contact for CSS, UAD or both. The UAD contact handles access to IAS (Integrated Administrative System), All Funds, DARSWeb, IFR Billing, and Datatel Colleague. The CSS contact handles requests for access to all other IT services. You may also contact your ITS Liaison, who has oversight for quota and accounts management on behalf of your division, college or school.
Faculty/Staff Accounts
Faculty and staff can access a wide range of campus IT services using their NetID and password. Access to additional services are available upon request.
Departmental
These accounts provide departments and offices with access to shared resources, such as a project or departmental email box and web resources.
Sponsored Accounts for Students
All students have access to wide range of IT services for the duration of their studies. Access to some services must be sponsored by a faculty or staff member.
Guests
Guest accounts are available for University-hosted visitors upon request by UAlbany faculty and staff. These can be assigned to guest lecturers, short-term contractors or anyone who is conducting official business with the University and needs access to the campus network or public computers. To request access to additional campus IT services, University hosts should consult with their departmental CSS/UAD Contact.
