Your first step in taking an online course is always admission. Even if you want to take just one online class for fun, you still need to be a University at Albany student.
Undergraduate Admissions/General Studies
The University at Albany does not offer any online undergraduate degree programs, just a few undergraduate-level online courses.
For admission as a temporary, non-matriculated undergraduate (General Studies) student please take one of the following steps:
Contact the Office of General Studies via e-mail at generalstudies@uamail.albany.edu or call them directly at (518) 442-5140.
Download and print a General Studies application to be mailed or faxed.
Please note that matriculated University at Albany students can register directly through MyUAlbany.
If you are interested in getting your bachelor’s degree at the University at Albany, contact our Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Graduate Admissions
For admission as a temporary, non-matriculated graduate student or for admission to a graduate online degree program please take one of the following steps:
