Why are there two Blackboard systems?

UAlbany is upgrading the Blackboard system to the latest release:

Blackboard Learn™, Release 9.1 (Bb 9.1). 

For the summer and fall 2011 semesters, two Blackboard systems are available for faculty to use.  Be sure to check your syllabus or ask your professor which system is being used for your courses.
