Attention: Mozilla products users, System Administrators, Desktop Support Personnel.

Summary: The Mozilla foundation has released updates for both versions (2.x and 3.x) of its popular Firefox web browser as well as an update for its SeaMonkey Internet application suite.  These updates include fixes for numerous security issues; several of the issues are listed as "critical" by the vendor.

Recommended Actions:  Firefox and SeaMonkey users, system administrators, and support personnel are encouraged to read the bulletins (safe links provided below) and apply the updates as soon as possible.

The Mozilla foundation recommends that Firefox version 2.x users upgrade to version 3.x at their earliest convenience as this is the newest, most stable, most secure, and best-supported version of this software.  Mozilla has made available Firefox 2.0.0.18 to provide security updates for users to cannot upgrade to version 3.x at this time.
