Summary:  On Wednesday February 6 2008 Adobe released version 8.1.2 of its popular PDF file Reader application.  At the time of this writing (12:50 PM Thursday 2/8/07) no security advisory or press release has been made available from the vendor to explain the nature of the vulnerabilities addressed by this software update.

Recommended Actions:  PDF documents are common downloads from both websites and email attachments and have been used as methods of attack in the recent past.  System administrators, support personnel and Adobe Reader users are encouraged to read the security article cited in this alert and apply the reader update as soon as possible (safe links provided below).
