Summary:  Microsoft has released an unscheduled security patch today that addresses several recently-discovered vulnerabilities that can allow for remote code execution on an affected system. Microsoft has listed this patch with a severity rating of critical.

Recommended Actions:  It is recommended that you carefully read the information pertaining to this patch and if applicable/appropriate apply the patch immediately.

ITS Actions:  At this time, ITS is taking no specific additional actions to counter this threat. An update will be issued if this situation changes.
