 Malware Detection Utility

 Free for Personal use Only

Description of FPORT:
FPORT is a free tool that will show what ports (UDP & TCP) active network programs are listening on. It also links the port to the process id number. Very handy if you use Netstat (on Windows) to see what ports are open on your machine, and track back to find out which applications are doing the listening.

Basic Instructions for use:
This utility will require using the command line prompt. Download and unzip the file onto your desktop. Next, click on START, then RUN, and type in cmd.exe, and press enter. You should now see a black window with white text. Next you need to change the directory to your desktop by typing cd /desktop. Next, you may need to change directory again if you created a new folder when unzipping FPort. In this case, type cd /Fport-2.0. Either way, you then run the program by typing fport. A list of open TCP and UDP ports will appear. After reviewing the list, you can close the black command prompt window by typing exit.
