Net ID Get Details Do It
Your Net ID gives you access to various electronic services including: MyUAlbany, WebCT, WebMail, the UNIX cluster and Windows Network Access (faculty/staff only). To discover your netid, set/reset a password.
 
Albany ID Do It
The Albany ID is a nine-digit number issued by the University at Albany to uniquely identify each member of its community, including students, faculty and staff. Forgot your id? Logon to MyUAlbany and select "Demographic Information" to find it.
 
SUNYCard ID Get Details
Your SUNYCard is a campus photo ID card that is your library borrowing card, your meal plan card, a debit card and/or an electronic key to campus buildings. Use your SUNYCard in the userrooms to pay for printing.
 
E-mail ID Do It
Your E-mail ID is your campus e-mail address. It takes the form netid@albany.edu where netid is your unique identifier. Don't know your netid? Reset your password to find out your netid.
 
Social Security Number
The social security number is a nine-digit number issued by the United States government. It is no longer the primary identifier used by the University to identify students or manage records. It is still required for some things such as financial aid.
 
PIN Do It
Your PIN (Personal Identitfication Number) is assigned by the University. It is used to first obtain your Net ID and to set/reset passwords for various electronic services. Forgot your PIN? Call: 518-442-3700.
 
Passwords Do It
Your NetID plus a password of your choosing gives you access to various electronic services. You may set your various passwords to be the same or different.
