Two extensive outages have been scheduled for campus IT services on July 25 at 6:00 PM - July 26 at 6:00 PM and August 8 at 6:00 PM - August 9 at 6:00 PM. These will accommodate our move to the new Data Center.
While UAlbany Mail, Internet access and the University website will be available, you will not be able to set or reset your password, or access any other campus electronic services that require logging in. These outages will affect ITS-managed services such as Blackboard, MyUAlbany/IAS and Lincoln file shares (U: and V: drive) and all other electronic campus services (SUNYCard, AllFunds, DARS, Nolij, etc.). The campus further relies on services that are managed by third parties, including COEUS, SUNY System Administration, RF Reports, and division-specific services. While some of these may be accessible during the outages, we cannot assure their availability given their dependencies on other ITS services. ITS recommends avoiding their use for the duration of both outages.
Visit ITS News for more information on the move and library.albany.edu/status for the availability of Library services.
The Research IT Group moved into the new IT Building on Monday, July 14. All RIT-supported storage and systems were migrated and back online by Wednesday, July 16 at 1:15 PM--a full day and a half ahead of schedule! Special thanks to everyone in ITS with a role in this success story, especially Brian Macherone, Rob See, Anne Shelton and Eric Warnke.
