What's New in ITS
ITS spent much of the summer upgrading and improving campus IT services. New wireless equipment, online access for Group Study rooms in the Business Building and Library, and the upcoming release of our UAlbany mobile app later this fall are just a few of these accomplishments.
Are you interested in being part of an exciting, dynamic team? Consider joining Information Technology Services at the University at Albany. We currently have several positions posted, including a search for a new Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer.
Information Security Classes Available
The start of the semester is a great time for cyber criminals to increase phishing attacks and other email-based malware. One of your best defenses is education, and ITS can help. We offer several information security classes that will help you protect yourself in just 30 minutes. See the Information Security Class Schedule for more information.
ITS, along with campus Technology Coordinators, is evaluating Windows 10 to assess its compatibility with the University's privacy, security and enterprise management requirements. Until we have assurances that Windows 10 meets these requirements, it cannot be considered a supported operating system for University-owned equipment.
University Applications Development (UAD) is Now Enterprise Application Services (EAS)
University Applications Development (UAD) has been renamed Enterprise Application Services (EAS). The new name, and a new group structure, better reflect the integration needed for academic, research and business applications across the campus.
