Duties may include:

• testing applications, services, and theories
• assistance with the Information Commons, User Rooms and classrooms
• research and reporting on technical topics
• administrative/clerical assistance
• installing and configuring staff workstations
• installing test servers
• equipment management (installing servers in racks, cabling, inventorying hardware, etc.)

The ideal candidate would be a self-starter and have interest in
information technology topics.  He/she should know how to use the
MS-Office applications and install Windows XP on a workstation.  The
student will have direct exposure to the system administrators and have
opportunities to gain experience in some or all of the areas listed
above.
