Our classes fill up very quickly. Application should be made well in advance to be sure of a place.

How to apply:

  1. Fill out the application form.
  2. Fill out the financial statement and attach verification.
  3. Send the non-refundable applicaiton fee ($80) in the form of an international money order or bank check payable to THE UNIVERSITY at ALBANY.
  4. Transfer students must submit verification from their current school showing valid immigration status and eligibility to transfer.
  5. Send all of the above (air mail) to:

  • When we receive your application, financial statement, and application fee, we will send you an I-20 Form (Immigration and Naturalization Certificate of Eligibility).
  • You will need the I-20 Form in order to receive an F-1 student visa at the U.S. Consulate/Embassy in your country.
  • You may NOT study on a B Tourist Visa.
We will send you a health form with your acceptance letter. Please bring the completed health form with a completed "Immunization History" when you register on the first day of the semester. Click here for more information about the Health Form and Immunization Requirements.

Attention students planning to drive while in the United States:

To obtain a New York State driver's license, you must have a one year I-20 with at least six months time remaining on the I-20. OR you must obtain an International Driver's Permit in your own country before you come to the U.S.
