Masters Programs
ETAP offers a variety of masters programs for candidates with different goals and experiences.
Master of Science
in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology
(CDIT). This program is designed for
those who wish to extend their expertise in curriculum
and instruction, and for those with an interest
in instructional design and technology. This program
can be completed either through classroom-based
or online coursework.
Master of Science in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
This program provides interdisciplinary graduate study for those who wish to teach English as a second language or English as a foreign language (EFL) in adult, college-level, or overseas situations. A related program leads to New York State initial certification in TESOL for Grades K-12 (see below).
Master of Science
in General Education Studies (GES).
This master's degree program is designed to complement
a variety of undergraduate preparation and thus
assist the student to acquire a generally well-rounded
educational background. The degree is especially
appropriate for secondary school teachers seeking
professional certification.
