Sports and Therapeutic Recreation Instruction/Developmental Education (STRIDE, INC)

STRIDE provides sports and recreation programs to children with any type of disability. STRIDE provides all adaptive equipment, trained colunteers and supervision to enable children to participate in various programs. STRIDE eliminates most obstacles which interfere with participants in most other programs. The students will be assisting in the instruction and education. They also be will be assisting during special events such as the great Ski Race. They will participate in fund raising, assisting in programs and event planning some office work to observe and assist in Administrative aspects of working with a volunteer run organization. The programs will include skiing, camping, sailing, bowling, swimming, little league baseball, cross country skiing, and snow boarding. The experience is appropriate for business administrative, special education teaching, any education, psychology, community or public service work, physical therapy, etc.
