ST. CATHERINE'S CENTER FOR CHILDREN
St. Catherine's is a multi-service Organization serving children and families with programs in education, mental health and social services. The programs focus particularly on the issues of child abuse and neglect, emotional disturbance, and homelessness. In the Day Treatment Program, students are needed to assist classroom staff with academics, play and classroom routines. Hours are 8:30 - 3:00. Organization orientation will be given at the beginning of each semester.
The Access and Visitation program needs students to monitor visits between child and non-custodial parents. Hours are Tuesday 5:30-7:30 and Saturday 9:30-11:30. More hours to be determined after student interview.
The Foundation Office would offer a student the opportunity to learn more about
the development efforts within a not for profit organization. They will work
on speical events and help with clerical work.
These placements are appropriate for students majoring in social welfare,
education, communiction and business.
