Mentoring Goals

- Research Training and Education
To establish a mentoring program that facilitates the development of faculty interested in becoming health disparities researchers. There are four means of achieving this goal:
- Mentoring between full professors and other faculty;
- Grant application preparation training;
- Competitive small grants awards; and
- Conference travel grant awards.
To establish training mechanisms that increase knowledge of health disparities research. There are three means of achieving this goal:
- Network-building colloquia and discussion groups;
- Intramural workshops; and
- Research methodology colloquia.
