Mentoring Goals

To establish a mentoring program that facilitates the development of faculty interested in becoming health disparities researchers. There are four means of achieving this goal:
  1. Mentoring between full professors and other faculty;
  2. Grant application preparation training;
  3. Competitive small grants awards; and
  4. Conference travel grant awards.

To establish training mechanisms that increase knowledge of health disparities research. There are three means of achieving this goal:

  1. Network-building colloquia and discussion groups;
  2. Intramural workshops; and
  3. Research methodology colloquia.
