College of Arts and Sciences Technical Services
CAS Technical Services provides technical scientific and instrumental support to the College. Our support units include the CAS Scientific Store, CAS Purchasing Department, CAS Machine Shop and CAS Electronics Shop. The Life Sciences Research facilities are also part of CAS Technical Services. The Department's main office is located in Chemistry 113.

Ordering Gas
Gas ordering is being done on a weekly basis, please have all the orders in to CAS Technical Services by Tuesday evenings. We will place orders to AIRGAS on Wednesday mornings for delivery to campus on Thursdays. Please plan to pick up your orders from the CAS Store on Thursdays. Orders can also be shipped to LSRB. Please include phone numbers and other contact information with your request so we can keep you informed of your order status and arrange for a pickup time. You can also reach the store at 518-442-4409, or Chris Olsen at the numbers above.
Electronics Shop
The CAS Technical Electronics shop is located on the second level of the Life Sciences building in LS 2011. The Electronics Technician provides support to investigators in building and repairing scientific instrumentation and interfaces.

Machine Shop
The CAS Machine Shop is located in the basement level of Physics, in room B13. The machine shop is available to advise and provide fabrication of unique items for our scientific researchers.

Purchasing Office
The CAS Technical Purchasing office is located in Chemistry 114. We provide procurement support to the Department's shops and core facilities. CAS Technical Purchasing acts as a liaison with the College's scientific vendors, to assist our researchers in acquiring scientific supplies, instruments and equipment.

Scientific Store
The CAS Scientific Store is located in the Chemistry building basement. The store provides scientific materials for laboratories, as well as office supplies and is available to researchers as well as students. Store hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Note: Store hours at the start of a semester will be extended and posted at the store.
