Mission Statement

Our mission is to build a community that unites diverse perspectives by creating a forum that recognizes, showcases, and encourages activisms in all their manifestations. It is our hope that this peer reviewed electronic journal will act as a vehicle, voice, source, and repository for a range of topics analyzed from the various perspectives of activists. It is our goal to create a catalyst for change, as well as an informational resource. transcending silence… is here to make a cultural change in the academic continuum, and to create a global perspective to a range of subjects that are important to many different people. transcending silence… is dynamic: evolving according to our community’s ever changing needs.
