ITLAL will have staff members available throughout this time period to talk with you about your specific media needs. Be sure to bring some materials that you want to convert.

What’s a Wiki, and How Can You Teach with It?
Monday, October 22, 2007 3:00 – 4:30 PM
Terrace Lounge
Format: Presentation and Discussion. You’ve seen Wikipedia, and possibly even used it. Certainly your students use it. What makes Wikis so enticing for students is the idea of participatory construction of knowledge. The technology brings to the surface a reality that is often hidden from students: real learning is interactive and social. Would your students benefit from having this tool as a way of learning? In this session we’ll see some examples of Wikis, hear from UAlbany Wiki users, and discuss best practices. Bring your curiosity and questions.
