9. What student organizations can I join at UAlbany? 

• The Graduate Student Organization is a student-run group that organizes academic and extracurricular programming for graduate students at the University at Albany. As a fees paid student, you are entitled to all the privileges of membership in the GSO. The GSO listserv is a great way to find out about events on campus as well as jobs and calls for papers.
• In addition, there are twenty sub-organizations, the Recognized Graduate Student Organizations, which also organize events to enhance graduate student culture at UAlbany.
