One of the best ways to reflect on your teaching is to watch yourself doing it. Videotaping can also be an effective way to document your teaching expertise as part of a digital teaching portfolio.
ITLAL offers to videotape one class per semester per instructor. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, so please schedule early in the semester to ensure that an ITLAL staff member will be able to tape your class when you prefer. When making the appointment, you will need to bring to the ITLAL office a blank a CD-ROM or a writable DVD for saving your copy of the videotape. We also highly recommend that you schedule a meeting with an ITLAL consultant and plan to review the tape together.
Reservations should be made no less than two weeks in advance of the class being taped. Videotapes are confidential unless you indicate otherwise.
