Ruth Scipione’s professional focus includes instructional design and applications of technology in the classroom, especially in the area of media and the World Wide Web. She also brings to ITLAL experience in assessment of difficult-to-measure learning activities such as group work and class participation.
A university instructor of Spanish for several years, and having worked closely with the UAlbany Department of International Programs and Study abroad, Ruth develops programs of support to address instructional-cultural issues facing international faculty and graduate teaching assistants. She is currently a PhD candidate working on her dissertation on the linguistic contact between Triqui, a language spoken in Mexico, and Spanish in Triqui immigrants in the United States.
