ITLAL Mission

The University at Albany's Institute for Teaching, Learning and Academic Leadership serves as an agent for innovation and transformation, to foster excellence in university teaching and learning practices. Toward this goal, the Institute provides programs of professional enhancement to the faculty and instructional staff.

The Institute focuses on three areas:

  • Promoting teaching effectiveness and innovation, both in the traditional classroom and online
  • Facilitating academic paths to success in teaching, research, service and leadership
