The Office of Student Involvement & Leadership assists students in developing leadership ability and supports students as they become involved in the UAlbany community. Our goal is to help you build connections, enhance your experiences, achieve personal growth, and develop new skills. We also promote meaningful relationships between you and faculty, staff, and peers of diverse backgrounds.
What does it mean to “get involved?” Getting involved is finding ways to connect you with the University community inside and outside of the classroom. This can mean socializing with friends and faculty on campus, attending campus activities, taking advantage of recreational activities, seeking out leadership and service opportunities, or engaging in academic activities with peers and faculty inside and outside the classroom.
In addition to helping your development as an individual student, this office serves as a resource and service-provider for student groups.
