Surveillance Training Academy
In collaboration with the New York State (NYS) Department of Health’s Offices of Long Term Care and Health Systems Management, the Center for Public Health Continuing Education provides year round training to surveyors of NYS Health Care Facilities, such as Long-Term Care Facilities, Hospitals, Home Health Care Agencies, Adult Homes, and Emergency Medical Services. These training opportunities are offered on a variety of different subjects and are delivered via distance learning and in-person. They allow surveyors to be knowledgeable, remain current and respond to the ever changing needs as they carry out surveillance and inspection activities of the numerous health care facilities across NYS.
