About Simeen Tabatabai …

PhD Student, University at Albany

Simeen Tabatabai is a reading teacher in the North Colonie School District. She received her BA in English from the University at Albany, her MS in Elementary Education from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, and her MS in Reading from the University at Albany. She is currently enrolled in the Doctoral program in Reading at the University at Albany. Simeen spent her childhood in Africa and has lived and worked in numerous countries on four different continents. Her research interest is in immigrant students and their literacy development in schools in the U.S. Simeen enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
