ONLINE PROGRAMS

MS in Early Childhood
This program provides the master’s degree for professional certification in the Early Childhood teaching certification area.  It does not provide eligibility for literacy specialist certification. To be eligible for this program you must hold a valid/pending initial NYS teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education (Birth through grades 2), or an equivalent first certificate from another state.  Available part-time only with a maximum 2 courses/semester.

MS in Childhood Education
This program provides the master’s degree for professional certification in the Childhood Education teaching certification area. This program provides the master’s degree for professional certification in Literacy (B-6, 5-12, or both) and for professional certification in the area of your initial certification.  To be eligible for this program you must hold a valid NYS initial, professional, or permanent teaching certificate in any area.  Available part-time or full-time.

MS in SpEd/Literacy 43 hr
This program provides the master’s degree for initial/professional certification in Literacy (B-6, 5-12, or both), initial/professional certification in Students with Disabilities (Grades 1 – 6) and for professional certification in the area of your initial certification.  To be eligible for this program you must hold a valid initial or professional teaching certificate in Childhood Education.  Available full-time only.

SpEd/Literacy 67 hr
This program provides the master’s degree for initial/professional certification in Literacy (B-6, 5-12, or both), initial/professional certification in Students with Disabilities (Grades 1 – 6) and initial/professional certification in Childhood Education.  You do not need to hold a teaching certificate to be eligible for this program.  Available full-time only.
