MS Reading: Classroom Teacher Track (On Line) Notes

Note: be sure to download/print the latest planning sheet, dated 10/16/05 (discard sheet dated 10/14/05)

What has remained the same in the Classroom Teacher Track (online) program?

--the program still requires 30 credit hours for completion.

What has changed in the revised Classroom Teacher Track (online) program?

--the Core Required Reading component has increased from 6 credits to 9 credits by moving ERDG 610 into the Core Required Reading component, and eliminating the former Reading Foundations component.

--the Social & Behavioral requirement has been eliminated as a separate component. However, courses taken as Social & Behavioral courses can be considered Electives.

--the Elective Reading Courses has the flexibility of including from 9-15 credits.

--the total number of hours for Elective Reading and Electives must add up to 21 hours--you can do this with a minimum 9 hours in Elective Reading, and a minimum of 6 hours in Electives, the remaining 6 hours being selected from either area.
