CAS
Allied Courses
In the CAS program,
12 hours of coursework has to come from what is called "allied" courses.
An Allied Course is any course deemed suitable for your program in consultation
with your Program Advisor. Courses offered through several departments in the
School of Education (e.g., those with EPSY, ETAP, ECPY, or EAPS prefixes) and
those by departments outside the School of Education (e.g., those with AALN,
AANT, APSY, or AISP prefixes) may be used to meet this requirement. Courses
taken at other universities may also be applied to this area. Descriptions
of the courses offered at SUNYA will be found in the Graduate Bulletin.
Required Research Courses. Within the Allied
Courses, a minimum of two courses have to be taken to fulfill a research tools
requirement. One of these courses has to focus on qualitiative research, the
other on quantitative.
