Media Advisory/Photo Op: Technology Transfer Focus of Jiangsu Delegation Visit to UAlbany

ALBANY, N.Y. (August 18, 2006)

What:
Five representatives of the Jiangsu International Affairs office and four filmmakers working on a documentary about U.S./China relations will visit the University at Albany campus to speak with campus leaders and take part in a panel discussion entitled Commercialization of Innovative University Technologies: Collaborations between Universities, Business and Government. The visitors will also visit the University's Life Sciences Research Building, the Gen*NY*Sis Center for Excellence in Cancer Genomics and the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering.

  • Gene Schuler, Chief Administrative Officer, Ordway: Resources required for creation of new companies and attraction of established companies
  • Ken Nyeu, Program Department, New York State Office of Science, Technology and Academic Research
