UAlbany's Emil Bove, '03, wins America East top award.
The awards and accolades keep flowing in for recent UAlbany graduate, Emil Bove. The American East Conference named him Male Scholar-Athlete of 2002-3, the latest honor for this recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence, two President’s Undergraduate Leadership Awards and a solid 4.0 GPA in a double major of public policy and economics. Bove, from Seneca Falls, NY, was also chosen as one of only 20 students in the country to present a paper at the Fifth Annual Research Conference at Rice University last January.
An accomplished athlete, Bove was a captain of the UAlbany men’s champion lacrosse team and named a Second Team Verizon Academic All American.
Now hard at work in Manhattan for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Securities and Regulations Division, he credits UAlbany for opening doors for him. “For a big school, UAlbany is full of opportunities to work with people who are truly interested in your development and who can lead you in any direction you want to go.”
